Hanging Planters
Description:
The ideal hanging planter! I came up with the design for these beauties many years ago while I was living in a very tiny space. I wanted to bring plants into the room but quite literally didn’t have any shelf space. All the hanging planters I could find drained. Since my plan was to place these over my bed and over a book shelf I definitely didn’t want dirty plant water draining!
So I invented these beautiful Moroccan inspired hanging planters! They don’t drain so you don’t have to worry about a mess and can hang them literally anywhere. They are small enough that plants can dry between watering, and also the point allows extra water to settle in a small space avoiding root rot.
If you have a plant that requires drainage you can also simply place a nursery pot inside the planter itself!
After the planters come out of my kiln, I then hand tye the custom macrame for them; perfectly sizing and forming it to each unique shape. I often leave the tails of the macrame long as that is my personal aesthetic, but once you get the planter into your space please feel free to trim them to your desired lengths!
